Volunteers

The Bugbee Senior Center and the White River Council on Aging identifies and serves the needs of those over 60 years of age, primarily in the four town area of Hartford, Hartland, Norwich and Thetford. The Bugbee Senior Center assists area senior citizens with a variety of services and activities which are available to those who visit the center on North Main Street in White River Junction, as well as those seniors who may be homebound or convalescing.

Many of the services that the center provides are accomplished through the time and efforts donated by dedicated volunteers who help out with everything from assisting seniors in the computer room at the center to delivering meals and providing rides to medical appointments.

There are many volunteer opportunities with flexible schedules for people who would like to provide assistance to area seniors. Those wishing to become a volunteer at the center are matched with a service compatible with their interests and schedule. Volunteers are very valuable to the WRCOA and Bugbee Senior Center, therefore every effort is made to help those who donate their time feel welcome and appreciated for their contribution.
