1:00 Bugbee Book Club. This month's  selection is  "The Memory Keeper's  Daughter" by Kim Edwards, a best  selling novel about parallel lives,  familial secrets and the redemptive  power of love.

April 7  12:30 "Butterflies to Britain". Eleanor  Zue has recently returned from  delivering the "Butterflies" quilt (that  we raffled off last December) to the  lucky ticket holder in Norwich, England.  She's agreed to share her pictures and  the saga of her trip. She has quite the  tale to tell!

April 9  10:00 Bazaar Meeting. If you have any  interest in helping us plan our next  Christmas Bazaar, please come to this  meeting.

  12:20 "The Flood of 1927". Whether  you remember the great flood of '27 or  just grew up hearing the stories of the  devastation it caused, you will want to  see the video and photos that Larry  Coffin has put together.

April 14  10:00 Jewelry Workshop. Class size  limited to 4 participants, so sign up  quickly if you are interested in making  a beaded necklace. $12 fee covers all  materials and instruction. Samples on  display at the Center.














April 15   12:20 "Reverse Mortgages". 
John  Olmstead, of Housing & Urban  Development, will give a presentation  about this financial option. 

April 16  12:20 "Eliminate Your Pain in 4 Easy  Steps". Dr. Carrie Grandt, D.C., of  Anderson Chiropractic Center in WRJ,  will share some tips about managing  pain without medication.


April 17  12:30 Credit Reports.
Shirley Mason,  of Consumer Credit Counseling of NH/ VT, will be available by appointment to  help you fill out a request for a credit  report or to help you make sense of  your credit report if you already  received one. Call 295-9068 to make  an appointment.

April 18  VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION NIGHT
OPENING. The Center will open at 3:30.  (See Calendar and Page 1 for full  schedule.) No charge for volunteers who  sign the book; all others $5 suggested  donation. Everyone is welcome but please  sign up by Wed., April 16th, as seating is  limited.

April 19  12:20 "VT in the Civil War". When the  Civil War began in 1861, Vermont was  one of the smallest states in the country,  both in size and population. However, its  contribution to the Union cause was one  of great importance. Euclid and Priscilla  Farnham will talk about the many ways in  which Vermonters helped to bring about  peace, free the slaves, and reunite the  country.
