Here are Some
Simple Ways to Stay Healthy
Get your dilated eye health exam at least once a year.
Wear socks and shoes to protect your feet.
Examine your feet daily for any cuts, cracks or calluses AND have your doctor LOOK at your bare feet at every visit.
Go for any blood tests ordered
If you have Medicare Part B, blood tests for diabetes are paid in full. Your visits to the doctor are covered at 80%. Your diabetes supplies and services are also covered. Use a supplier who "accepts assignment". For names of providers and suppliers who accept assignment, call 1-800-842-2052.

The Long Term Care Ombudsman
A Long Term Care Ombudsman is an independent advocate or supporter who helps residents in long term care facilities resolve problems or complaints. This is a free and confidential service. A Long Term Care Ombudsman is authorized by state and federal law to investigate complaints on behalf of long term care residents. In some states. Long Term Care Ombudsmen also advocate for consumers getting long term care at home.
A Long Term Care Ombudsman can help with:
Information about the rights of residents or health care consumers.
Finding a nursing home.
Issues about transfer or discharge.
Concerns about the use of patient restraints.
Concerns about medications.
Concerns about finances.

Come with Us to Montréal!
Now that we have completed some successful day trips, we're ready to venture forth on an overnight excursion to Montréal.
