"Thank You" from Hannah

In the May issue of the  Bugbee Bulletin, we printed a memo from Hannah, a Junior Girl Scout from Hartford who was working on a project to collect hand-made baby blankets to donate to David's House.  We recently received the following note :

"Dear Senior Center,
Thank you very much for all of your donations. They really helped me reach my goal. My final number of blankets was 38 blankets! David's House loved them very much! Thanks so much again.
  Signed,
  Hannah"

"50/50"

It's been quite a while since we've done this so it seems like a good time to explain what "50/50" is. On designated days, we will sell raffle tickets for 50 cents each. After lunch, we will hold a raffle drawing and the person holding the winning ticket wins 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the tickets; the other 50% goes to support the Bugbee Senior Center.

Christmas is Coming!

Come help us plan our annual Holiday Bazaar. Without Grace to guide us, we may need to make some changes and we welcome your ideas. We're having an organizational meeting on Wednesday, August 4th at 11:00 AM. Coming to the meeting does not obligate you in any way to work on the bazaar, though, of course, we hope you will want to do that also.

Basic Pencil Drawing Course with Norton Terry.

This course will meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings, starting September 7th and continue for 8 sessions. Materials will be supplied. Cost: $25.
Enrollment will be limited. For more information, or to sign up, contact Norton Terry at the Bugbee Senior Center at noontime, or call
1-603-298-6692.

"On the Road Again" Update

The good news (or, perhaps the bad news, if you were hoping to sign up) is that the trip to Foster's Clambake and the U.S.S. Albacore Museum on Thursday, August 19th, is sold out.  For those who have reservations for the trip, departure time will be 7:45 at Bugbee Senior Center.
The other good news is that, because our trips have been so well received, we will probably schedule one more in the fall. Be sure to watch for details in upcoming issues of the
Bugbee Bulletin.

Have You Found Us
on the "Web"?

We recently received a phone call asking us for our website address, which made us realize that we haven't included that information in the Bugbee Bulletin for a while. So here it is:
