Drivers Wanted

We sometimes have requests to provide seniors with transportation to medical appointments. If you have a reliable vehicle and might be willing to drive on occasion,  contact Ransom at 295-9068 or email him at volunteer@bugbeecenter.org.

Quilt Raffle Tickets Available

This year's quilt is a "Morning Star" pattern in red, green and white. The drawing will be held at the Cookie Sale on Saturday, December 11th. You do not have to be present to win.

Tickets are available now at the Center for $1 each or 6 for $5. If you are not able to come in but would like to purchase quilt raffle tickets, just send us a check for the correct amount and we'll be happy to process your request. (We'll even send you the stubs by return mail if you want them.)

For December 11

Fancy Cookies- Cut-out shapes, frosted, decorated, or whatever your favorite holiday cookies happen to be.

Decorated Cookie Tins (shaped and sized appropriately to hold fancy holiday cookies)

Home-made items: cakes, pies, snack items, breads, candy, fudge, jams, jellies, baked beans, sugared nuts, or anything else that would enhance our "Food Sale" tables.

Winter Weather is Coming!

During the next few months, there may be days when weather conditions make it unsafe for staff, volunteers, and participants at the Center to be on the roads. Please listen to your radio or TV for school closing announcements. When Hartford Schools are closed due to weather, the Bugbee Senior Center will also be closed.
If you are in doubt, you can try calling the Center
after 8:30 A.M. When possible, we will try to leave an up-to-date message on our answering machine.
When the Center is closed, there are no home-delivered meals.
