Director's Corner

This being the February edition of our newsletter, most of you will be reading it  AFTER we know whether the "Groundhog" saw his shadow. I, for one, am hoping for an early spring, one that actually holds on and progresses nicely into the warmer weather. Along those lines we here have been planning some of our trips for the finer weather ahead. I am excited about some of the excursions planned, which are highlighted on this page. Some of our selections are repeats of last year trips due to the popularity of the Coolidge Homestead, York, Maine and Hildene, for instance. We also selected some new venues such as Castle in the Clouds and Lake Winnapesaukee. A dinner cruise on Lake Sunapee is also in the works, among others. And first up in March is a trip to the Boston Flower and Garden Show. Stay tuned as well for more details on "local" trips in our immediate area.

Inserted in this month's Bulletin is a Program Survey for the year that just ended. Please take a few moments to look this over and give us your feedback. Many folks give us feedback as we move along "day to day" but this survey is designed to structure responses to specific information we want to tabulate in order to do our program and meal planning. Thank you in advance for your help on this. I will more than likely do a separate survey on our Social services at a later date, and intend to do this annually for all of our programs.

On a final note, we have a program that I want to remind you about going on now. The good folks from the AARP Tax Preparation program are gearing up for the new tax season. If you need some assistance with your taxes, take advantage of this service here at the Center. Call for an appointment, as the   program does fill up fast.
