Traditional British Ballads sung in New England are a rich part of the literary and musical heritage of our region, and yet they are little known today.

Through the VT Council of the Arts, and in cooperation with the Hartford Village Library,  we are very pleased to present Burt Porter, a singer and scholar of ballads. On Tuesday, January 24th, at 12:30, he will present a program of New England ballads, accompanied with fiddle and mandolin.
