Thank the Caregivers

Alzheimer's is a devastating disease, and more than 70% of the sufferers live at home, with their families supplying nearly all of their care. This can be physically demanding. Many sufferers can't bathe or dress themselves and need help with eating and the toilet. Caregivers often become isolated from friends and community.
The Sharing Care program now offers a way to thank these caregivers. It developed four free online greeting cards using art by patients at the Alvin A. Dublin Alzheimer's Resource Center in Florida. You'll find them at
www.sharingcare.com and www.americangreetings.com.

On the Road Again!
Thursday, August 19th
$54 per person

We'll start our day on the seacoast by exploring the

U.S.S. Albacore Museum
Portsmouth, NH

Albacore Park is the site of a world-famous submarine, the Portsmouth-built USS Albacore, and of a memorial garden honoring those who lost their lives while serving aboard American submarines.
Weather and time permitting, we'll stop at Nubble Lighthouse on Cape Neddick, then we'll head on over to

Foster's Downeast Clambake
York Harbor, Maine

We'll enjoy a delicious Maine lobster clambake (or chicken, if you prefer) "in the rough" at the York Harbor Pavilion featuring Maine hospitality and live entertainment!

To make a reservation, call 295-9068. Reservations are taken on a
first paid basis and are not confirmed until the full fee is received by us. Make checks payable to White River Council on Aging.
