After a long wait and much anticipation, on June 1st, we took receipt of our new 2006 Ford E-350 10-passenger minibus. It is a huge improvement over our old 1997 Dodge van. The seats all face forward and the seat backs are as high as on regular buses. The wheelchair lift is located in the rear of the vehicle and the air conditioning works! Thanks again to all of you who donated towards our cash match to obtain this vehicle.
      Door-to-door transportation on our bus is available, in the towns of Hartford and Norwich, to come to the Center for lunch. Shopping trips to the WR P&C supermarket and Corner Drug Store are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, we are sometimes able to provide bus transportation to medical appointments. For more information or to request a ride, call the Center at 295-9068. To arrange to come in for lunch, please call between 8:30 and 9:00 AM. To request transportation to a medical appointment, please give us at least 48 hours notice. If we can't work you into our bus schedule, we may be able to arrange for a volunteer driver to transport you.
