The Marble Game Returns

After taking a short break, we're ready to revive the Marble Game. Here's how it works:
On March 1st, we'll put 95 clear blue marbles and 5 red marbles in a can. Each day, we will sell game tickets for 50˘ each or 3/$1.00. Half of the money goes into the "pot"; the other half goes to the Center.
After lunch each day, we will draw three tickets and the lucky ticket  holders will each pick a marble from the can. If a red marble is picked, the money in the pot goes to the person who picked the marble. If more than one red marble is picked, the money in the pot is divided among the winners. If no red marbles are picked, the money in the pot will be rolled over to the next day.
Tickets are valid only on the day of purchase. The pot grows each day that there is no winner, and the odds of picking a red  marble improve as the game progresses. The game will continue until all of the red marbles have been picked.

Looking Ahead….
Len Berliner will offer two AARP Safe Driving classes at Bugbee Senior Center in May. Class One will meet on Monday and Tuesday, May 15 and 16, from 8AM to Noon; Class Two will meet on Wednesday and Thursday, May 24 and 25, from 8AM to Noon.
To receive a certificate of completion for the course, which may reduce your car insurance premium, you must complete both sessions of one class.
Pre-registration is necessary and may be done by calling the Center at 295-9068. The $10 fee is payable at the first session of each class. There are still a few seats left in each class but they're filling up fast.
