We're Getting a New Van!
Kathy Avery, Executive Director, WRCOA

We have been notified by the state Public Transit Administrator that our application for an accessible small bus has been granted. Carl has been transporting our clients all summer in our 1997 vehicle with an air conditioning system which could not be repaired. The heat was brutal on some days, and we thank you all for hanging in there with us. It is unclear how long it will take to procure this new vehicle, but we hope it will be within the next   couple of months.
We will have to come up with $4,500 as a "local match" as our contribution towards the cost of the vehicle. We may be having fundraisers in the near future to assist us in this quest. If you would care to make a donation to the "New Van Fund", it  would be most appreciated. Tax deductible donations may be brought or sent to the Center and should be  labeled in the memo section of your check.
We'll be using the "penny jug" money (see below) to jump start this important purchase!
