An attorney from the Senior Citizens Law Project will be conducting a legal advice clinic, sponsored by VT Legal Aid and the Council on Aging for Southeastern Vermont, and supported through a grant from the Administration on Aging.
     In a 20-minute free consultation, the attorney will be able to give you advice or make referrals on a  wide variety of legal problems, including wills, powers of attorney, small claims, landlord-tenant issues, benefit claims (Social Security, SSI, Medicare, Medicaid, etc), debt collection, consumer issues, guardianship, bankruptcy and other civil legal matters. However, the attorney can't help with criminal cases or problems, and it must be your problem, not a question about a problem involving your neighbor or other family member.
