Low Vision Support Group

The VT Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired conducts a "PALS" group at the Bugbee Senior Center at 10:00 AM on the first Thursday of every month. PALS stands for "Peer Assisted Learning and Support". During each session, participants have an opportunity to learn from a certified professional and each other. Some of the goals of the program are to educate clients on ways to cope with their vision loss, encourage them to try out various aids and devices, and to minimize the feelings of isolation and depression that are often associated with vision loss.
No pre-registration is necessary and there is no fee. For more information, come to the Bugbee Senior Center on Sept. 4th, to hear an after-lunch presentation by Carol Eaton, Adult Services Supervisor and Rehabilitation Teacher for the VT Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

"Square-in-a-Square"
Quilt Raffle

Tickets are available at Bugbee Senior Center for our newest raffle quilt. Done in red, cream and blue,  this 3-by-4-blocks quilt  measures 46" by 64", just the right size to cuddle with on the couch this winter. The back is a red-and-blue floral print on a cream-colored background. The quilt will be displayed in our dining room. Be sure to stop in and take a look.

Chances are $1 each or 6 for $5. Mail orders for tickets are accepted (minimum order: 6 chances). Drawing will be held at our annual Christmas Cookie Walk and Bake Sale on Saturday, Dec. 20th.
