RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Be at the meal sign-in table at least one hour before meal serving time and remain available as long as people are still arriving.
    
2. Assure that each person who has come for the meal signs the book and records the requested information.
    
3. As necessary, explain the procedures for signing in and for meal donations. (For those age 60+, the suggested donation is $2.00 - 2.50; for those under age 60, the fee is $4.)

DUTIES:

1. Smile! Be friendly and helpful! Greet those signing in for lunch in a warm and friendly manner. You may need to ask if they are under 60 in some cases.
    
2. While sitting at the sign-in table, do not note whether people over 60 made a donation. (Some people prefer to send in a donation periodically instead of putting money in the box. All donations are confidential.)
    
3. Ask new visitors to fill out a Welcome Sheet, even if this may be the only time they come here for lunch. (We need the information for our statistics.) Show them that they can check off the box at the bottom to be put on our mailing list.
    
4. Mark the meal card on the correct date for each person who comes for lunch. If they do not have a card in the box, give their name to Emily to see if we need a Welcome Sheet.
    
5. While “reserved seat” cards are not required, they are encouraged. Most people will look in the box for their card. If new reserved seat cards are needed, there should be blank ones in the back of the box.
